Meet the Band
Marika and the Ohms, we play music for all occasions, weddings, parties, holiday events.
Some of our inspirations are Alabama Shakes, Tom Petty, Bob Marley, Marianda Lambert, The Beatles, Pink, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Tracy Chapman, Amy Winehouse, Santana and much much more. We can play anything!
Marika Millner – Lead Vocals
Marika has been singing her whole life. She tried out for The Voice and made it to the second round. She has performed the National Anthem for various events. She started singing with the OHMs in 2014. She has a unique alto voice that is soft but strong and she loves singing a wide variety of styles, from Patsy Cline to Adele and many other musical styles.
Maurice Mitchell – Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Harmonica, Mandolin, Ukulele
Mo is a super talented multi-instrumentalist and song writer who has been playing music his entire life, from the streets to the big stage. Mo was in an band called Rock Stew that has played original music throughout Southern California, from SoHo to the Whisky A Go Go.
Tony Rubio – Lead Guitar, Vocals
Tony has also played music his whole life, coming from a musical family. He is a talented player on bass, keyboards as well as lead guitar and vocals. He has played in multiple bands, playing R & B, Soul and Rock and Roll.
Christophe Millner – Bass Guitar
Chris has been playing music since high school when he joined his first band. Chris also does Tai Chi as a spiritual training. Chris formed Rock Stew with Mo in 1990 doing original music and touring California. He is proud that his talented daughter Marika has joined this current band, The OHMs.
Jerry Martin – Keyboard
Jerry is a keyboardist extraordinaire. He has been playing music around California for many years, from R & B to Jazz. Jerry holds an open Jazz jam at the Ventura Harbor every Wednesday during the Summer months. Jerry joined the band last year after hearing the music and wanting to be part of it.
Barry Birmingham – Drums, Percussion
Barry is a great drummer who can play any musical style. He is an accomplished teacher and works with many students in the Santa Barbara area.
